A Sense of Belonging

Those of you that have been following along on my art journey know how connected I am to the sea. It’s in my bones, part of my DNA, a lifelong sense that I belong beside the sea.⁣

And yet, I don’t live by the sea. Someday, I think to myself, I will have my beach cottage. While I wait and wish and dream, I content myself with memories of our many visits and paint what’s in my mind’s eye.⁣

This piece is one of a new series of small works that I hope will convey the liquid landscape with its churning waves and ever-changing colors, patterns and movement. ⁣
